White Bay Criterium 2018

Sat 17th November was the #whitebay criterium next to Balmain. Organise by Cycling NSW, I was racing A grade at 6 pm. Windy and few spots of rain... But we managed to keep the storm away from this amazing location.

Racing was 55min +2laps.

I had to be in a front to avoid crashes and bad call from nervous riders.

Racing at Heffron helps me to be agressif and take the right corner. I saw myself improving from last year at the same race. I had good feeling and after few breaks which failed. I decided to let one guy breaking away. Then chase him hard on my own...then never gave up. Keep the hammer down to be sure with stay away. I obviously work harder than him. I was taking every turn head wind while he took the easy tail wind. The peloton were chasing hard so 4 laps to go.... I had to go hard and hopefully drop this Anthony or at least stay away, smile at the photographs and aim a podium. Last lap, I was still in a front, hearing so much support from the side of the road, to let the other guy rolling... But I was here to hurt riders and hurt myself in a good way.... And thought as a gentleman he will let me win as I did all the hard work... But does not work this way in Cycling....he over passed me and smoke me at the finished lane... Awesome, I was happy, in my little cloud of happiness. Thank you for the support of the crowd, and others who were shouting my name...

Loved it. Thank you
